Chukwu Commends Gov. Otti's Efforts On State Security At Launch Of Abia State Security Trust Fund As The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation Supports The Fund

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Amarauche Chukwu has offered plaudits to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, on the successful launch of the Abia State Security Trust Fund on Thursday, 10th July, 2025.


The commencement of the Abia State Security Trust Fund is part of the State Government's plan to sustain achievements made in the security of lives and properties in the state since the onset of the current administration led by Governor Otti, which has bestowed a convivial environment that has encouraged rapid development throughout the state.


Provisions under the Fund will be utilised in providing logistics, acquiring sophisticated communication tools, surveillance equipment and other critical security infrastructure for state security agents and patrol teams, establishment of an ultramodern command and control centre for statewide monitoring, improved emergency response time, required interventions in real time among other beneficial security outcomes for Abia State.


In separate speeches, the chairman of the Abia State Security Trust Fund Board of Trustees, Stanley Obiamarije, represented by the Vice Chairmain, Sir Johnson Chukwu and the Secretary of the Board, Nkolika Cleopatra Ubani, spoke in clear terms on the expected outcomes for the Fund and their modus operandi as they commence operations even as Governor Otti, in his speech, appreciated all donors and laid the vision upon which the Fund was created as he indicated it was part of a broader strategy in securing the state.


The event was colourful as it was business-like and had in attendance the Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Barr. Nkeiru Onyejeocha, Chancellor of Abia State University, Mrs. Uju Ifejika, Prince Arthur Eze, Dr. Uche Samson Ogah, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chief Executive Officers of various banks and other captains of industry, Secretary to Abia State Government, Professor Ken Kalu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Honourable Commissioners and other government appointees.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu praised the security strategy of the Abia Governor calling it "sublime and workable in tackling emanating security challenges which has conferred an atmosphere of peace in the state thus encouraging rapid development currently ongoing in the state."

The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, a multidimensional nonprofit organization, was present at the launch of the Abia State Security Trust Fund. Led by the programme manager, Mrs. Helen Mannic, The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, in clear solidarity with initiatives aimed at improving quality of lives of Abia residents, made their donation in support of the newly launched security trust fund in Abia State and pledged to continually associate with programmes beneficial to the less privileged in Abia State and Nigeria.
